A redeeming fact: I’d sneak Tango In The Night into the the CD player, plug in my dad’s BOSE headphones, crank the volume and lay in the teensy space behind the couch and the bookshelf where the A/V equipment was and essentially go missing from my parents for a couple hours.

This time Miss P recounts about breaking a spider’s legs in her classroom.

I broke a spider’s leg in class. We all screamed and I broke it’s leg. Teacher threw it in the trash.

Her mother thinking this is a good time to remind her that all creatures great and small are wonderful, calmly states, well God made spiders…

Yes Mommy, God made spiders… to stay OUTSIDE.
If it comes inside I’ll break it’s legs.
